Perfect for my needs June 12, 2010 R. Thompson 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This was my first HDTV so I went a little crazy comparing all the models out there. It's for my bedroom so I knew I wanted a set around 32''. This TV is PERFECT! When I bought this at a local store they had all the 32'' sets side by side and this one blew them away. The blacks are black, the colors are vivid and the picture is SHARP. I have it hooked up to cable (720p), a blue ray player (1080p), and a Wii; they all look amazing. The sound with the bluray player is also very impressive for in TV speakers. I'm definitely going to look at other Sony Bravia products for my next TV. I now want a 50'' for the living room so if you have suggestions let me know :)
Sony Bravia S-Series KDL32S TV June 7, 2010 VMO (Syracuse, UT USA) This TV performed as expected. It is used as a TV in our master bedroom and is hooked up to a dish. It seems to be a good TV for the money.
Not bad... but May 29, 2010 Carlos Ospina (Valencia, Venezuela) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Well, the picture is clear, and looks good, didnt notice the audio issue, but the channels change tooo slow and this is not a new model, the manufacture date is APRIL 2009... and yes the /9 is just a sticker in the box... I would return it but the cost would be higher to me... for the first time I'm dissapointed with amazon.

Got it to go with a bravia blue ray/surround system. The resulting picture from the hdmi is unbelievable, and the bravia sync works very well. Picture through co-ax and video inputs were a bit worse than expected, but the component input produces near hdmi clarity. Also the menus allow for very detailed adjustments of the picture and input settings. I am very satisfied with this tv.
Sticky pixels are bad May 25, 2010 G. Steere 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this TV for use as a computer monitor (to pair with my 2 LG 32LH30s for a 3 monitor configuration). The picture was pretty good, but from the first day there was issues with sticky pixels. If I typed any text on a white background then back spaced, several pixels would remain blue where the text was formally. I've never seen this type of issue with any TV (and I've used lots as monitors). Additionally after a few weeks several pixels stuck on white and would not change back at all. This is not acceptable for a TV less than a month old.
I also encountered the sound cut out issue that others have discussed. Since this was being used as a monitor I wasn't too concerned about it (at least not enough to deal with the hassle of shipping it back), but combined with the pixels already going bad it was time to box it up.
Last remarks, from the new entry on Amazon (March 24, 2010) they lead you to believe this is a new model. I found out this was not the case at all. The MFG date was August 09 and the "/9" appended to the model number was just a sticker stuck on the outside of the box. This actually made it older than my two LG monitors I bought in October and January and just seemed a bit deceptive to me. Check the reviews for the KDL-32S5100 since as far as I can tell it is the same.
This would have been my 6th HDTV purchase overall in the past 3 years and its the first one I've returned. Sony definitely doesn't mean quality like it used too.
